Short version: This Speedometer app does not collect, store, or share your personal data. Your location is used only on your device to calculate your speed — it never leaves your phone.
1. What data the app uses
Speedometer requests access to your device's Location Services solely to read GPS data and calculate your current speed and distance traveled. This data is:
- Processed entirely on your device
- Never stored beyond your current session
- Never transmitted to any server
- Never shared with any third party
2. What data is not collected
Speedometer does not collect, store, or transmit:
- Your location history or GPS coordinates
- Trip history or distance records
- Usage analytics or crash reports
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Any personally identifiable information
3. Music controls
The in-app music controls use Apple's MediaPlayer framework to send playback commands (play, pause, skip) to whatever is currently playing on your device. No information about your listening history, playlists, or media library is accessed or stored by this app.
4. Third-party services
Speedometer does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data services. There are no SDKs, trackers, or ad networks embedded in the app.
5. Children's privacy
Speedometer does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no data is collected at all, COPPA compliance is straightforward: there is nothing to collect or disclose.
6. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
